We have previously brought to your attention the deep crisis Maybach is struggling in and the possible prospect of the historic luxury carmaker. Now, it seems that a final decision will come as early as July, 1st, when the Daimler boss, Dr. Dieter Zetsche, is expected to reveal whether a new generation of models under the uber-premium brand is a no go or not. The outcome of Maybach pretty much depends on the chances of Mercedes-Benz securing a solid partnership with Aston Martin, which is tipped to be in charge of developing most of the new versions in exchange of powerful engines, transmissions and technology. If the future is bright, then the new Maybach lineup of cars, programmed to bow after 2013, will underpin the revolutionary chassis of the next generation S-Klasse (W 222).
